About the Role

As a Lighting/Compositing Artist in our team, you'll play a pivotal role in bringing our visual narratives to life. Specializing in lighting and compositing, you will use your expertise in Vray and Nuke to enhance the mood, atmosphere, and realism of our projects. Your work will be instrumental in achieving the final look of our films, commercials, or animation projects, ensuring that each frame is both visually compelling and aligned with our creative vision. This role is perfect for someone passionate about the interplay of light and shadow and skilled in crafting seamless compositions that elevate storytelling.


  • Lighting: Utilize Vray to create and apply dynamic lighting schemes that enhance texture, depth, and mood, contributing significantly to the overall visual storytelling.

  • Compositing: Employ Nuke for high-quality compositing, integrating various elements (CGI, live-action footage, etc.) into cohesive scenes that feel both organic and captivating.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with the CG, VFX, and art departments to ensure lighting and compositing choices support the project’s aesthetic and technical objectives.

  • Technical Proficiency: Apply your deep understanding of rendering engines and compositing software to solve complex visual challenges, optimizing render times without compromising on quality.

  • Look Development: Participate in look development, working with directors and art directors to define the visual style of projects through lighting and compositing techniques.

  • Quality Control: Ensure all lighting and compositing work meets the studio's high standards for quality, contributing to the polishing and refinement of the final product.

  • Pipeline Enhancement: Contribute to the development and enhancement of the lighting and compositing pipeline, ensuring workflows are efficient and up to date with industry standards.


  • Expertise in Vray and Nuke: Demonstrated proficiency with Vray as a rendering engine and Nuke for compositing, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.

  • Artistic Sensibility: A keen eye for light, color, and composition, with the ability to use lighting and compositing to enhance storytelling and emotion.

  • Technical Skill: A solid understanding of the technical aspects of rendering and compositing, including shader development, render optimization, and compositing techniques.

  • Collaborative Spirit: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, incorporating feedback to achieve the best results.

  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to address and overcome challenges that arise during the lighting and compositing process.

  • Continuous Learning: Commitment to staying current with the latest techniques and technologies in lighting, rendering, and compositing.

  • Experience: Previous experience in lighting and compositing in a production environment, preferably with projects that have utilized Vray and Nuke.
